A third generation builder, Dave Fort began his work career in 1965 after graduating from the University of Florida. Over the course of forty-three years, from Project Manager to General Contractor and then Developer, Dave Fort has steadily participated in the Multifamily Industry.
He and his wife Claudia began developing Student Housing in the late 80's. This product, and it's expanded potentialities are the focus of FortGroup's future work.

Following a long career as a high school educator, Claudia offers a unique understanding of the young adult and student markets. Having served in every capacity of the development company, Claudia now oversees, along with Dave, all aspects of FortGroup.

Amy secures construction and permanent financing for current and future projects, builds and secures equity partnerships and identifies land for future development opportunities.
Amy holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Coggin College of Business at the University of North Florida. Her background includes several years as the Commercial Real Estate Relationship Manager/Vice President of a large regional bank in Jacksonville. Prevously she served as manager of operations for a local retail company.

Mariah Fort-Mouro holds the broker's license for FortGroup Development Acquisition, Inc. A seasoned veteran, her 9+ years with the company have given Mariah much insight into the marketplaces and design of our projects.Her involvement in the conceptual phases of each new brand, as a liaison between development and management insures a solid product that works for both sides.
Mariah oversees advertising and marketing for portfolio properties and development of strategies for future marketplaces. Prior to joining FortGroup, Mariah was co-owner of Beauclerc Landscape, and co-founder of Montessori Tides School in Jacksonville Beach, FL.

As a member of the Suite USA team, Ton's innovative management and strong leadership positioned the company for a maximum return of profits during the FortGroup / Suite USA portfolio sale at the end of 2007. Mr. van Mook is now focusing his attention on the continued growth and prosperity of the FortGroup Development Corporation by positioning himself as a partner within the parent company.
With his exceptional thirty-year track record as an international entrepreneur, van Mook lends strength to FortGroup's solid foundation. Prior to employment with FortGroup's management company Suite USA, Inc. in 2006, van Mook served as CEO and Chairman to Integroup, Inc., the founding development company for the Melrose student housing communities.His development and management skills were honed on a diverse group of companies he founded and managed successfully in the Netherlands.

Jody is an award winning graphic designer with work in museums and visitor centers throughout the southeast. At the FortGroup, Jody works with the team designing marketing materials and branding imagery to create a cohesive and distinctive "face" for ongoing projects.
A UCLA Design School graduate, Jody previously worked in Los Angeles as a residential interior designer for high profile clientele and served as head designer for several clothing firms including GUESS.

Barbara joined FortGroup in 2006. She has a degree in Economics and Business Management and a fifteen year history of work in the financial services industry including retail banking, mortgage lending, and investment services.

As a VISTA volunteer in the 1970's Cathi was involved in health and housing issues for low-income residents in Massachusetts, and later served as a community nurse and administrator in the St. Augustine area. A former coordinator of the Lifelong Learning Program of the St. Johns County Council on Aging, she brings her knowledge of people and her enthusiasm for team building to our corporate community. Cathi joined FortGroup in 2007.
